Imagine working in a place where your customers are this satisfied!

At Al Abeer, we believe the satisfaction of our patients and employees are one in the same. With our excellent healing environment combined with the AMC Corporate Culture Program model of care and a commitment to continually improving the health care experience, Al Abeer is where both employees and patients want to be.

We believe every employee is an equal player in creating a wonderful health care experience for our patients. AL ABEER has been named to many commercial surveys' 10 Best Companies to Work for in Saudi Arabia list for consecutive years -- ranking #1 overall in insurance providers since 2005 among its class -- and we have been consistently cited for management's ability to listen to its employees' advice and share information.

Our goal at Al Abeer is to continually create an environment and hospital experience second to none. This means we must all, regardless of position or rank, take responsibility for ensuring that patients (and visitors) who come here have the most positive experience possible. We must excel in the performance of those things that have served to distinguish Al Abeer over the years: innovative, high quality services; unique, healing environment; exceptional customer service; and patient and employee satisfaction.

Employee Programs
Orientation
Each employee of Al Abeer Medical Centre, including service, support, ancillary, nursing, medical and administrative, is required to attend a mandatory week-long orientation program prior to beginning work-related duties at the Medical Centre. In addition to learning the Al Abeer philosophy as told by the Chairman/CEO, new employees receive an in depth summary of items such as human resources, safety, standard precautions, legal issues, AMC Corporate Culture Program, as well as receiving a brief tour of the Medical Centre.

Wellness Programs
Al Abeer Medical Centre also offers employees many in-house benefits. Our employees are encouraged to take advantage of relaxation sessions, both offered on a daily basis. Employees have use of a fitness center complete with Nautilus and cardio equipment. In addition, our AMC Corporate Culture Program Arts & Entertainment Program not only benefits patients and their families, but staff members as well.

Retreats
As part of new employee orientation, new employees are required to attend a mandatory 2-day AMC Corporate Culture Program retreat at a retreat center, where they are given a course in the AMC Corporate Culture Program philosophy of care. The retreat is facilitated by the service promotions management and includes numerous team building and personal exercises as role playing and information sharing.

I Take It Personally
Our employees are recognized monthly through the ITIP I Take It Personally Program. The Medical Centre staff is divided into four divisions: nursing, service, support and ancillary, and one employee from each division is named Employee of the Month each month.

A celebration to recognize these four employees takes place each month in a class hotel,  hosted by the CEO and the reigning Employee of the Year. The program is designed to publicly recognize and reward employee behavior, which improves patient/client satisfaction.

Employee winners receive a bonus check for this distinction. A companion program is Department of the Quarter designed to single out departments that excel in meeting quarterly or annual objectives or go the extra mile in assisting patients, guests or fellow employees. The Annual Employee Service Awards are held each May to honor those employees with five or more years of service as well as to honor each monthly ITIP winner along with the Departments of the Quarter. The highlight of the evening is the selection of the Employee of the Year and Department of the Year.

Dare to Care
Employees are encouraged to attend monthly motivational Dare to Care programs held by our employees who have been taught by personal development experts . Monthly Dare to Care lectures cover issues such as Integrity, Perseverance and Authentication, and encourage Al Abeer employees to voice their concerns and opinions in a highly interactive forum. The program supports employee morale and encourages positive behavior from co-workers.

Success Rewards
Al Abeer also offers employees a monetary incentive to reach departmental and institutional goals. The Success Reward Program, established in 1999, pays out a quarterly bonus to those departments that meet monthly goals as well as for the entire staff if the Medical Centre-wide goals for patient satisfaction and admissions are met.

Spot Recognition
Employees are also recognized "on the spot" with the Spot Recognition Program. This program recognizes employees who go above and beyond their duties with small tokens of appreciation such as lunch coupons, gift certificates, discounted coupons, or just a card saying "Thanks." Managers and directors are encouraged to pull these items from special spot recognition "tool boxes" provided by administration.

PARTS OF THE RESUME:

The information described below should be included in your resume. The information you provide should be arranged so that your strongest points are stated first. For example, if you graduated recently and have little or no experience, start with your education. If you have a lot of relevant work experience, start with your experience

1. Contact Information:  Your name, address, and phone number. This should be listed first on your resume. List only one or two numbers where you can be reached during business hours. Have an answering machine if you may not be available. You may include an e-mail address.

2. Employment Objective: This should be the same as or related to the position you are seeking or describe the industry of interest to you. It should be clear and well defined. In place of an objective, a summary or brief description of your career may be added.

3. Education:  Beginning with the most recent, list schools and any workshops and training attended. Degrees, certificates, and diplomas received should also be listed. Indicate any specialty within your major, especially if the information fits the job. Grade point averages should be included only if they can be considered assets. Recent graduates with limited related work experience should list as much information about related courses taken, especially beyond high school. Include vocational education, military, on-the-job training, and internships. List your high school education if you do not have post-high school training or if you attended a prestigious school.

4. Experience:  Begin with your most recent job. List employer's name and location, dates of employment, and position or title held. Include internships and part-time, summer, volunteer, and self employment. Experience may also include political and community service activities. Describe major duties concisely using action words and simple English. Highlight specific accomplishments and results such as problems solved and improvements. Emphasize tasks, skills, and specific experiences that are required in the job for which you are applying. Include use of computers, special tools, and responsibilities. Include facts or figures. If you held a supervisory position, give the number of employees you supervised. List community service/volunteer work and internships that provided related experience. Be specific and honest about your job duties and skills. If you do not have any real achievements, describing your goals and willingness to work hard in the cover letter can be helpful.

5. Other:   List your important achievements, honors, awards, scholarships, publications, hobbies, knowledge of a second language, technical skills, licenses, and significant extracurricular activities that are related to work and make you stand out from other applicants. Academic, professional, or community organizations in which you are an officer or a member may also be listed.

6. References:  If your references are well-known in the industry, you may list their names. (Be sure to have their permission.) Otherwise, you may delete this section from your resume or state "references will be provided upon request." This will give you control in choosing the references for specific employers. However, be sure to prepare a separate sheet to use when references are requested.

Be sure your resume is clear, complete, concise, up-to-date, and factual. A resume should look sharp and attractive and reflect an orderly mind. Center or justify headings and avoid abbreviations. Check for correct and consistent spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Type your resume neatly and error-free on white or lightly colored paper. Having it done on a computer will allow you to easily save it and change it later. Use bold or italics to highlight areas of your resume. A brief, well-written resume takes time to prepare. Have someone review your resume before duplicating or sending it out to be sure that the information is easy to understand and free of errors. If it is duplicated, be sure the copies are clear, dark, and free of smudges
